SEX AND VIOLENCE!, was a cabaret-style comedy revue that a partner and I wrote and produced in restaurants. Dinner theater. The script was much like Saturday Night Live (but it pre-dated that show).
We all know that Sex and Violence sells movies, but this title was a joke. (It was deliberatly entiled that way!) The police came on opening night to see if the show was scandalous. It wasn’t, of course and they kept laughing. I told them next time they had to bring their wives and PAY. They did.
SUNSPOTS. This was a travel show I created, wrote, and co-produced for CBC TV in Canada. We called it Sunspots because much of the year Canada is, umm, cold!
NUTWORK! A cabaret revue similar to Sex and Violence! The title is a take-off on the film, Network.
